It was about 10:00 am on April 23. That morning I was pumped and ready to go. “Are we about to leave?” I questioned my mom. “COME ON COME ON,” I screamed my mom awake. “We`re going to be late!” I said.
We were on our way to my soccer game. “I hope I’m goalie!” I said. Last game, I was goalie for only half a game. I was real energetic to be at the game.
We had just asked if I was goalie today and he said YES! I was the happiest person on the field. We were warming up when we noticed that we were playing the 3rd best team in the league, the warriors.
The game had begun. We started off with me in the box. For about 25 minutes, It was 0:0 until I looked down field and we go, we shoot… GOAL! The half time whistle.
We sat out and talked for a little and we thought of strategy. By the time the game was about to start the coach said I was goalie. I got in the box and we started. About 10 minutes into the game it was 2:2.
It was about 5 minutes until the end of the game. The score tied at 2:2. “I’m not letting a single ball past me” I think to myself. Here it comes I dive… goal the other team screams and roars. It`s all over the ending score 3:2!
We were driving home when I thought, that it doesn’t matter if you win or lose. It matters if you had fun. I liked this because I was goalie for the whole game. But at least I blocked about half the shots and I did my best.
